Director's Note
Revisiting this show since its cancelled season in 2020 really highlighted to me the love, commitment and devotion within this cast and crew. I'm so proud of what we've made, both the exciting new additions, anecdotes and accordions but to see that the bedrock of the show holds firm. That are the core of the story is a deeply personal tale of how women and non-binary artists have to hide their work because they don't see a place for themselves. We take our lens to musical theatre writing but that's applicable in so many fields. May this show inspire a new wave of writers, emboldened that their work matters.
Writer's Note
Working on this updated version of That's All She Wrote has been a joy, and I'm incredibly grateful to have the support of my talented team of co-creators, particularly James and Katie, without whom this show would not exist. As a performer, getting to run the emotional gamut and tell such a huge variety of stories in a single show is a challenge and an extraordinary gift. My hope is that you all leave the theatre with a new favourite song, and perhaps even feel inspired to write one of your own.
